Juniper Mist has unveiled powerful new features across its entire AIDE solution stack, designed to improve automation, intelligence, and security. These updates aim to enhance user experience and simplify IT operations, making network management more efficient and reliable.
Juniper Mist has introduced new product features across the entire AIDE solution stack!
These enhancements bring improved automation, intelligence, and security to optimise user experience and simplify IT operations. Stay tuned for more details on the latest updates.
1. New Wireless Marvis Action: ISP Offline
Mist has introduced a new Marvis Action called ISP Offline. This feature detects access points (APs) that are offline due to ISP-related issues such as regional outages, routing problems, DNS failures, or misconfigured network settings. Marvis can identify whether the issue affects a single site or multiple locations and can pinpoint the ISPs associated with the impacted APs, streamlining the troubleshooting process.
2. Download Marvis Client
You can now download the Marvis Client app from the Mist portal. This application provides a client-side view of the network, offering detailed telemetry and insights into wireless connection experiences, including client roaming behaviours. The Marvis Client detects connection types (cellular or wireless) and monitors corresponding signal strength.
Marvis Client is available via a per-client subscription model (SKU: S-VNACLIENT). You can download the installer from Organisation > Mobile SDK > Marvis Client, where versions for Windows, macOS, and Android are available.
3. AP Autoplacement is now generally available
Juniper Mist has officially made the Access Point (AP) Autoplacement feature generally available. This feature automatically assigns X, Y coordinates to APs on a floorplan, simplifying deployment and saving time.
Important Notes:
4. Wi-Fi 7 support
You can now enable or disable Wi-Fi 7 on a per-WLAN basis from the WLAN configuration page. This setting applies only to Wi-Fi 7-supported access points and does not affect APs that do not support Wi-Fi 7.
About Wi-Fi 7 (IEEE 802.11be EHT):
5. Historical connection data for wired clients
Mist now retrieves and displays client properties and connection status data for wired clients that are disconnected from the switch.
Key Enhancements:
How to Access:
Go to Monitor > Service Levels > Insights
Select the wired client from the scope selector
Alternatively, use Marvis Conversational Assistant:
